Monica Palermo

Monica is a business attorney who works extensively with owners and operators in the hospitality, real estate, and tech industries. Monica serves as outside general counsel to businesses of all sizes and assists her clients with their corporate formation, transactional, securities, licensing, regulatory, M & A and litigation needs.

Monica has extensive experience counseling franchisors, multi-unit restaurant groups, and owner-operators on matters relating to private capital raises, bank financing arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, lease negotiations, liquor licensing, franchising documents and general corporate compliance. 

Monica has a strong and growing practice representing creative entrepreneurs and operators in the CBD and cannabis space, helping them navigate the ever-changing regulatory landscape. She serves as outside general counsel to a digital CBD company and contributes extensively to its legal blog.

An NYC native, Monica spent over a decade as a litigator before focusing her practice on corporate and commercial real estate transactions. Prior to joining Fuchs & Roselli, Monica was the corporate and hospitality partner of a boutique banking law firm.

In her spare time, Monica enjoys cycling outdoors and travels around the country competing in triathlons.  When not traveling, Monica can be found exploring Chicago’s many restaurants and outdoor cafes with her husband Juan Carlos and their rescue dog, Frankie.
