Matt focuses on working with dynamic and growing companies, entrepreneurs and established family businesses. He routinely provides assistance on a wide variety of matters to individuals and companies such as: business acquisitions and dispositions, establishing and planning the creation and operation of business entities, family-oriented business succession planning, negotiation and documentation of commercial agreements, employment matters, regulatory issues, and shareholder disputes. Matt often serves as an unofficial “general counsel” to the Firm’s corporate clients, providing regular counsel on issues affecting small to middle-market business, and also enjoys assisting individuals seeking to establish new businesses and other ventures.
Prior to joining Fuchs & Roselli, Matt worked at a large global law firm advising clients in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, internal reorganizations, bankruptcy, and general corporate matters. He also has significant experience advising clients in the areas of secured lending and real estate, and has counseled individuals on a wide variety of general practice matters while running his own solo practice for several years.
Matt obtained his undergraduate degree from Indiana University - Bloomington in 2002, with distinction. He graduated cum laude from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University - Bloomington in 2008. While in law school, Matt served as an Articles Editor of the Indiana Law Journal and was a semi-finalist in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition.
Matt is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. He previously served as a co-chair of the Real Estate Committee of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association. He has volunteered to provide pro-bono representation with organizations such as CARPLS and The Law Project. Matt lives on the north side of Chicago with his family.
